Summary
As admissions leaders face a highly competitive and uncertain market, determining the needs of today’s students has become even more challenging. It is critical for colleges and universities to serve students uniquely and offer experiences to differentiate themselves from the competition.
Join us on July 20th to learn more about how mentorship plays a powerful role in impacting the admissions process. The virtual event will discuss the value of mentorship as a high-impact practice, feature senior leaders from across the country, and include a research spotlight from Mentor Collective.
Mentor Collective's research spotlight will feature findings from our latest enrollment study, including a summary of the issues and topics today's students care about most during the admissions process.

Why Mentorship Matters
Higher education leaders have employed many strategies to support student success and deliver on the promise of the college experience, but only large-scale peer mentorship has proven effective in all the following ways:
- Meeting students where they are
- Reaching student populations who most need support
- Increasing institutions’ capacity to serve students
- Leveraging the student voice to inform strategies
- Creating a culture of support for diverse student populations
- Positively contributing to key student outcomes (e.g., retention, melt)
Boost Deposit Rates with Peer Mentorship
Attracting and engaging students has never been more challenging. Mentor Collective helps colleges and universities increase enrollment by providing all admitted students with access to a trained peer mentor to offer real-life campus insights and answer pressing admissions questions.
This data shows the yield results achieved and student engagement fostered by Mentor Collective partners through peer-to-peer SMS exchanges.

We're stronger as a community when we're able to amplify results with metrics.
- More High-Quality Relationships Net More Impact: Boutique/In-house mentorship programs can be effective but many fail to grow past serving 10s of students. While the high-impact practice of mentorship at an individual level is worthy of a boutique program, institutions may not see as much ROI as they would with structured, large-scale programs.
- Higher Education’s Magic Metrics: Even just 1% retention is significant in higher education. 4% across a class of 5,000 students is 200 fewer students dropping out of school. That can mean more revenue from tuition and boarding for an institution. Mentorship supports retention and semester-to-semester persistence while generating student traffic to university resources. Administrators are also concerned with manpower and time investment. Mentor Collective adds capacity to administrative teams by having a full mentorship support team helping recruit mentors/mentees, run mentor training, analyze data, and monitor program progress.
