Student Success Strategies from Senior Leaders
September 8, 2020
Zoom Webinar

Social distancing should not keep important discussions and innovation from taking place

David Johnson, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, IU Bloomington and Mentor Collective are bringing together senior educators to develop actionable strategies for maintaining student engagement and enrollment in Fall 2020 and beyond. Since COVID-19 hit the U.S. in spring 2020, the promise of the college experience has been jeopardized - Fall 2020 will only continue the tumultuous trend.

IU, Bloomington and Mentor Collective recognize that universities face unprecedented disruption, significant uncertainty, and increased skepticism toward the value of college.

In this roundtable, we will dive into how the macro forces that have struck our world are impacting universities, forcing strategies to shift, and share the adjustments and creative solutions education leaders have and will make in small groups with peers from across the United States.

What is a Virtual Roundtable?

Our Virtual Roundtables are About Conversations, Not Presentations

We will discuss:

  • Insights into what obstacles senior higher education leaders face this Fall while preparing for Fall 2021 enrollment.
  • Adjustments and creative solutions to maintain student engagement for a fully online or hybrid experience.
  • Student success interventions and best practices for recruitment, yield, and retention in these new circumstances.
  • Build on lessons learned in the past six months to mitigate enrollment and reputational impact.

What to expect:

  • An expert panel discussion on student success practices
  • Engaging small-group conversation with colleagues that will connect solution-driven ideas and actions in meaningful ways
  • A 15-minute break to stretch your legs!
